Some of the subjects we cover

Each subject is covered using a learning program that contains all the content you need and is led by your personally matched tutor

General Mathematics Year 11

Our Year 11 General Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the TAS Syllabus. Students build on their understanding of financial mathematics. We introduce the fundamental skills of working with matrices and provide practice to help students build mastery. The study of measurement and similarity are further developed for three-dimensional objects. Our program explores the statistical investigation process, applications of trigonometry as well as linear equations and their graphs.

Mathematics Methods Year 11

Our Year 11 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the TAS Syllabus. Students examine the properties and graphs of linear, polynomial, inverse, exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometric functions are developed to include special identities. Students also learn to select appropriate techniques when working with arithmetic and geometric sequences and their application to financial situations. Investigating instantaneous rates of change helps build a student's conceptual understanding of differential calculus. Developing mastery of differentiation techniques enables students to solve related problems such as describing motion of a particle. The fundamental theory behind probability is expanded to include more complex techniques including conditional probability, independence and combinations.

General Mathematics Year 12

Our Year 12 General Mathematics program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the TAS Syllabus. Students examine methods to analyse bivariate data within real-world contexts. Students also develop an awareness of the relationships between different countries through a study of Earth geometry. They build mastery to find solutions to a range of real-world problems relating to growth and decay as well as graphs and networks. In addition, students complete an in-depth study of loans, investments and annuities, and networks and decision mathematics.

Mathematics Methods Year 12

Our Year 12 Mathematical Methods program covers all relevant outcomes as outlined in the TAS Syllabus. Students build on their understanding of differential calculus to discover the link to integration and build mastery of the various techniques and their applications. Trigonometric functions are developed to include sketching and applications of inverse trigonometric functions. In addition, our program provides in-depth instruction on continuous and discrete random variable distributions. This will build a framework for sampling and confidence intervals.

Mathematics Year 9

The Year 9 program covers Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry, Statistics and Probability, and introduces the study of Trigonometry. Students use appropriate strategies to solve problems and link mathematical ideas and the relevant terminology and notations to explain their thinking processes. Our Year 9 program places a great deal of importance on consolidating prior mathematical knowledge and laying the strongest foundations for senior Mathematics at every level.

A game changer!
★★★★★
Ever since I engaged with Cluey about their tutoring, I've been impressed. They were straight back to me after my enquiry & have been nothing but professional & helpful ever since. My son has been struggling with Maths & English & Cluey offered me an option with is working & not taking advantage financially. What impressed the most, is how interested they are in my son as a person, which has built his confidence in learning. I would definitely recommend them to help anyone.

I have been super impressed with the service. Our daughter struggled with Year 5 Maths this year and after only a term of tutoring went from a D to a B. This really has changed her ability to process mathematical information and relieved the stress the subject previously caused her. Thank you so much, such a great service. Kim

Our daughter is loving maths again!
★★★★★
Our Year 7 child is absolutely loving her tutoring and thinks that the tutor is fantastic. She can't wait to complete her homework and is excited about her improvement at school. She felt so special when she had lessons in class on topics that had already been covered in her tutoring with Cluey. Our daughter's school teacher has said that our daughter seems a lot more confident with maths and is doing very well. Thank you!
