Thiloshnee

Thiloshnee is an experienced Tutor, running her own tutoring business between 2017 and 2019, which was a Mathematics enrichment program for children between 4-13 years old. Prior to this, during 2016 and 2017, she was a Mathematics and English Tutor. Thiloshnee encourages her students to change their attitude towards Numeracy by playing Mathematical games as well as explaining concepts using concrete examples. As the students start implementing this style of learning, they gain confidence and their Mathematical skills improve greatly.

Ashlee

SA University Student (Bachelor of Education (Primary R-7) / Bachelor of Arts)

Ashlee is currently studying a double degree of a Bachelor of Education (Primary R-7) with a Bachelor of Arts. As part of studies she has completed 3 placements and has continued volunteering at 2 of the schools. She has experience with children with special learning needs, and gifted students. Ashlee has a passion for helping students learn in a safe, non-judgemental environment. She believes that a welcoming environment promotes engaged learning. She works alongside every student to help them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Sewni is currently studying a Bachelor of Medical Science/Doctor of Medicine at Monash University. She's passionate about teaching mathematics and helping students understand complex concepts by breaking them down into simple steps. Rebekah

QLD University Student (Bachelor of Science (Earth Sciences Major))

Rebekah graduated high school in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 90. She then went on to study her Bachelor of Science, majoring in Earth Science at the University of Queensland. She currently helps peers at university as a PASS Tutor, tutoring students in the year below her. She also has experience with some informal tutoring with a Lower Secondary student. Rebekah believes that her experience with tutoring has provided her with valuable methods in working out efficient ways to successfully mentor and aid students.

QLD University Student (Master of Teaching (Secondary))

Mohabagnamohosoth is in his final year of his Master of Teaching (Secondary) at the Queensland University of Technology. As part of his studies he completed a 15 day placement with Year 11 English, Year 8 Mathematics, Year 10 and 11 Chinese, as well as a 20 day placement with Year 7 Science and Mathematics and Year 9 Study Skills. Mohabagnamohosoth is an outgoing and fun Tutor who values teaching as an engaging life-long journey with youth cultures.

Maye is an aspiring doctor who is currently completing a double degree in Medical Studies and a Doctor of Medicine. She completed the QCE with an ATAR equivalent of 99.55. Maye knows the Secondary Maths and Chemistry curriculums by heart and is passionate about helping her students excel.

Thinushi

VIC University Student (Aerospace Engineering/Science)

Thinushi is currently studying her Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering (Honours) and Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics at Monash University. She has experience working at Kumon working with Kindergarten to Year 8 students in English and Mathematics and has conducted private tutoring in Mathematics for Years 5-12. Thinushi is patient and nurtures her students to learn with confidence and to assist them in realising their goals for the future, as well as helping them reach their full potential academically. She explains various concepts in an effective and engaging manner and helps her students to develop fundamental reading comprehension and calculation skills for confidence in the classroom as well as everyday life.

Mariela

NSW Teacher

Mariela is a qualified, accredited Teacher, holding a Graduate Diploma of Learning and Teaching (Secondary). As part of her university studies she completed Practicums with Secondary students in Science, Biology and Chemistry. Between 2016 and 2021 she worked as a Learning Support Specialist. Mariela has experience working with a diverse range of students, assisting the facilitation of supported learning for special needs learning students and exploring a holistic approach to her student's wellbeing.

Hasina

VIC Teacher

Hasina completed her Bachelor of Science (Chemistry) in 2001, Postgraduate Diploma in Education in 2001 and her Certificate III in Education Support in 2018, going to commence her Masters of Learning Intervention (Deaf Education) at the University of Melbourne. She has experience teaching Victorian Certificate of Education Chemistry and International Baccalaureate Diploma Chemistry. Hasina is an enthusiastic and experienced Tutor who can adopt and employ a range of strategies to suit the diverse learning needs of students.

Robert

Robert completed his PhD in Chemistry from the University of Melbourne in 2016. He has over 10 years' experience teaching university-level laboratory classes, where he has taught students from a wide variety of backgrounds. Robert enjoys helping students gain ownership over their studies and building confidence in their work.

She then went on to commence her Bachelor of Actuarial Studies and Computer Science at the University of New South Wales. She has been a private Tutor since 2019 in Mathematics U3 and U4 and Chemistry, and was a formal Tutor to Primary students in Mathematics in 2018. Sylvia believes that lessons, regardless of the content and material difficulty, can always be made interesting, engaging and fun.
