Year 3 English
Students learn about complex language features, varied sentence structures and expand their vocabulary. Over the year they also learn a significant number of new high-frequency sight words and words that need to be decoded phonically, and a range of punctuation conventions, as well as an understanding of how literary devices, illustrations and diagrams make meaning in printed text. They create a range of written texts of their own for various purposes and audiences.

She has experience with special needs students and a wide variety of students from different cultures and backgrounds, giving her a strong student-centred, inclusive approach to her work. Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
