Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.

Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.

Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Carmen has completed a Bachelor of Community Welfare in 2009 at James Cook University and a Master of Childhood and Youth Studies in 2014 at Southern Cross University. She has experience working as a teacher's aide and is passionate about helping students develop their oral and written communication skills for life-long use, as they work towards acquiring educational independence. Carmen believes in fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment and feels with the right support, students can reach their potential.

Hannah is currently studying at Griffith University and is undertaking a Bachelor of Education. Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Jayraj

Mathematics: Primary & Secondary

English: Primary

Jayraj has more than 25 years' experience as a Secondary Maths Teacher overseas, as well as 5 years of tutoring on top of that. Jayraj has also had several Mathematics text books published for primary and lower secondary years. Jayraj exhibits a calm and collected approach to his sessions. He encourages students to explore mathematical concepts at their own pace, while providing guidance to help better understand. Jayraj taught English for more than three decades, primarily at junior levels and teaches students at senior levels how to structure and write essays to critically discuss assertions.

Parul

Chemistry: Senior

Parul holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology as well as a Master in Biotechnology (Advanced) in Immunology. She has tutored Chemistry and Biology to students in Years 10 to 12. Parul's experience has helped her learn to devise different plans for each student as every child has a different grasping level and understanding.
