Year 5 Maths
The numbers skills of students in Year 5 should allow them to apply place value in digits of any number and demonstrate a more sophisticated understanding of number patterns and fractions. They are dealing with more challenging multiplication problems, including using the formal algorithm, and calculating amounts of money using percentages. Their appreciation of space and time is becoming more subtle and abstract.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
Maths Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Cluey's Primary Mathematics learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core numeracy skills, including times tables in the early years, and fractions, decimals, percentages, angles and simple algebra in the senior years. Martina completed her Year 12 certificate with an ATAR of 97.20 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Dental Health Science/ Master of Dentistry at Griffith University. Martina is passionate about helping students develop their key literacy and numeracy skills for life-long use, as they work towards acquiring educational independence. She believes that with support and lessons tailored to meet their individual learning style, all children can succeed at school and reach their full potential.
Dhruvi
NSW University Student (Bachelor of Diagnostic Radiography)

Dhruvi completed her Higher School Certificate in 2017, achieving an ATAR of 96. She went on to commence her Bachelor of Diagnostic Radiography at the University of Sydney in 2018. Dhruvi has formal tutoring experience, both online and face-to-face, with students in years 1-12. She also has experience in NAPLAN coaching, opportunity class test coaching and selective schools test coaching. Dhruvi enjoys breaking down concepts to their simplest forms so that students can better understand and retain the learning.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
