Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?

NAPLAN is different from regular classwork

Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests based on problem solving and applied learning.

All of our prep programs are designed to be interactive and practical, with worked examples and challenges which get students solving problems and applying concepts (just like in real NAPLAN situations).

Our 1-to-1 programs include NAPLAN modules for either Primary or Secondary and provides all you need to get started, including tutoring sessions from an expert NAPLAN tutor, a simulation NAPLAN test and a subsequent revision of the test results and run through of answers.

How do we prepare for NAPLAN at Cluey?

From January up until the official exam, the tutoring sessions are focused on the preparation for NAPLAN.

NAPLAN Focus: During this period, students and tutors focus on the review, practice, and coverage of key Numeracy and Literacy topics and concepts. NAPLAN-like questions are assigned as practice to complete between sessions.

Free Simulated Test: Two weeks before the official NAPLAN exam, a simulated test is assigned for students to complete independently. It contains a full set of NAPLAN-like questions covering all Numeracy and Literacy concepts.

Test Feedback: The session in the week prior to the official NAPLAN exam is dedicated to feedback and review based on the results of the simulated test. It is also an opportunity for tutors to provide advice and strategies on how to best approach the NAPLAN exam.

Reporting: Session reports, including tutor feedback continue to be provided during the NAPLAN preparation period, allowing for ongoing tracking of progress.

Meagan is a qualified, registered Teacher, holding a Bachelor of Education: Further Education and Training General, majoring in English Literature. For the past 4 years she has been working as an English and Business Management Teacher, teaching English to years 8-11, Advanced Program English to years 11 and 12 and Business Management to years 8-10. During 2017 she privately tutored students in years 2, 3 and 6 in English, History, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Geography. She believes that this experience deepened her understanding of learning and the importance of a good quality education from a young age. Meagan also learnt the importance of forming genuine relationships with her students as it proves beneficial in helping them stay on task and develop a love for learning.

Sophie completed her HSC level with an ATAR of 93.85 with top marks in Biology, Advanced English, and Mathematics. She is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Science majoring in Psychology at the University of Melbourne. She has previous experience tutoring both primary and secondary level students across English, Mathematics, and Science. She is a nurturing and patient tutor who is passionate about helping students learn to the best of their ability, achieved by adapting lesson plans to suit their individual needs.

During her degree, she worked in a Boarding house with girls aged 11-18, supporting development and providing tutoring when needed. Debra has also worked as a Classroom Learning Assistant, working on Math and English development with Primary aged students. Debra tutors Primary level Maths and English.

Jing graduated High School in 20216 with an ATAR of 97.50, going on to study a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Mathematics. She has spent time volunteering as Teachers' Aide in High School for a special needs school and has experience as a Private Tutor for Primary and Secondary Mathematics. Jing enjoys breaking down concepts to their simplest forms so students can better understand and retain the knowledge.
