Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?
NAPLAN is different from regular classwork
Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.
Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.
Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Sarah completed her South Australian Certificate of Education in 2016, going on to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English and Psychology and commence her Masters of Secondary Teaching in English. She worked during High School as an Aboriginal Education School Support Officer for 6 months, helping students in Years 3-11 with English Maths and Science. She has been doing her own private tutoring since October 2020 in the subjects of English and Humanities with Primary and Secondary students. Sarah is a friendly and approachable Tutor who believes that small actions can add up to make a big impact in the lives of her students. She aspires to help students become the best they can be, to help them thrive, create memories and an identity for themselves along the way.

Maria is a qualified, registered Teacher, holding a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary) as well as a Bachelor in Science. She has taught both Primary and Secondary students and has worked with gifted students as well as students with special learning needs. Maria's goal with all of her students is to explain things in a simple manner so that they understand the content and their confidence in the subject matter grows. She is an approachable and friendly Tutor who is happy to help her students with any difficulties they are facing in their learning.
