Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?
NAPLAN is different from regular classwork
Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.
Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.
Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, it’s mostly used to compare a school’s average with the national average. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

She has 3 years formal tutoring experience from prep to year 12 students in Mathematics (up to year 10) and English (up to year 12). Joanna completed her Post Graduate Certificate in Education, English and French in 1989 and her Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2014. She has 13 years' experience as a High School Teacher in English as an Additional Language, English, Drama and French. Additionally, she over 6 years' experience as a Teacher of Literacy and Numeracy to a SEE (Skills or Education and Employment) Youth Class with ages 15 to 24 whose anxiety prevents them from attending mainstream school, helping them to return to school, start a college course or join the workforce. Joanna is a knowledgeable and supportive Tutor who has worked in both the UK and Australia and has experience with high achievers and those who need extra development.
