Year 4 Maths

Students' facility with numerical operations and patterning and factions increases. Not only are they expected to consolidate their knowledge of times tables, they are starting to apply their multiplication skills to increasingly complex problems. Their spatial and temporal understanding develops to enable greater understanding of 3D shapes and maps, simple timetables, and they have a clearer understanding of the role of chance in statistics and probability.

She has 2 years tutoring experience, assisting students in primary and high school in English and Mathematics for years 2-10 and year 12 Higher School Certificate Standard English and Higher School Certificate Mathematics General. Chelsea's strengths lie in being able to help her students to understand concepts in detail, along with a balanced student-teacher relationship to help students to realise their full potential.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.

Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.

After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
