Achieve your best as you study in detail the texts, concepts and skills that matter most to success in Senior English. You will read and respond to literary and other texts, analyse diverse representations of the world, and strengthen your own skills in the expression of your creative ideas and insights. From working with everyday texts in their many forms to exploring in depth specific works of poetry, drama, fiction, nonfiction, film and new media, you'll grow as a learner with Cluey there to support you.

Year 12 Literature will see students reflect on the purpose and meaning of a range of texts, and make genuine connections and sophisticated judgements about context, meaning and value.

Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
Based on the state and national curricula for Years 11 and 12, Cluey’s approach to senior English focuses on teaching you to demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of your text with well-written and insightful answers. Our personalised approach focuses on exam prep and gives you the opportunity to develop in areas you find challenging.

In 2021 Kashish completed her Bachelor of Arts, with a Double Major in Creative Writing and Theatre & Performance at the University of New South Wales. Kashish hopes to provide her students with a creative learning experience, with an empathic and welcoming environment.

Amy completed her Year 12 certificate with an ATAR of 97.50 and is currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of International Relations at the Australian National University. Amy focuses on individual needs and caters to their learning style with a flexible and approachable attitude. She creates a safe and nurturing environment for all her students.
NSW University Student (Bachelor of Arts (English and History))

Kirsten has completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and History and is now undertaking her Master of Secondary Teaching in English and History. She is interested in teaching students with a variety of learning needs and instilling an enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Kirsten has experience tutoring students with a range of needs and enjoys getting to know her students and the ways they learn. When Kirsten is not studying to become a high school English teacher she is reading and reviewing novels on her "bookstagram" account. Through teaching English, Kirsten hopes to foster a similar love of reading within her students.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
