Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?
NAPLAN is different from regular classwork
Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.
Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.
Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, NAPLAN is primarily used as a benchmarking tool, taking a snapshot of how school children across the country are tracking in terms of the literacy and numeracy skills that we believe are essential for their progress. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Gabriela completed her Bachelor of Journalism in 2005 at the Queensland University of Technology and her Graduate Diplomas of Primary Teaching in 2018 at Swinburne University. Gabriela has 2 years' experience as a Primary classroom Teacher, 1 year at a school for children with Autism and 1 year at a private school in year 3 Mathematics. She also has experience as a private Tutor for students preparing for their first year of school and teaching Portuguese language. Gabriela's teaching strategies apply the principles of Visible Learning to ensure pupil motivation, behaviour, and learning engagement to build a foundation of knowledge, critical thinking skills and attitudes for life-long learners.

Sheryl

Sheryl is a registered Primary Teacher with 30 years of teaching experience. She has worked full time, part time and casually with all Primary years and has also worked as a Teacher Librarian and Enrichment Network Teacher. Sheryl is currently working with Stage 3 and Stage 1 classes. She has experience with students with diverse learning needs as well as experience with NAPLAN. Sheryl is an enthusiastic and focused Teacher who is committed to quality education and the well-being of children. She is passionate about giving children education that is engaging, challenging and at their level. Sheryl establishes a supportive relationship with her students with the aim of promoting and reinforcing a student's independence and self-esteem.
