Who is the NAPLAN tutoring & test prep for?
NAPLAN is different from regular classwork
Children in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9 at ALL schools are required to sit four separate tests over three days in March.
Tests are overseen by the teachers and principal at each school and usually take place in a hall or large classroom.
Although NAPLAN gives parents, teachers and schools an idea of where each individual student is at in their development, NAPLAN is primarily used as a benchmarking tool, taking a snapshot of how school children across the country are tracking in terms of the literacy and numeracy skills that we believe are essential for their progress. NAPLAN results are used in planning, and to determine which schools, programs or skills need to be prioritised and scrutinised.

Cluey's Primary English learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Melissa completed her Western Australian Certificate of Education in 2012, achieving an ATAR of 95.55. In 2020 she completed a Master of Primary Teaching from Curtin University and as part of these studies completed placements with all primary stages. Melissa is confident in supporting students experiencing speech, language and attention-based differences to engage with learning. She is passionate about motivating students of all abilities to build confidence and achieve their individual learning goals.

Ziming is a qualified, registered Teacher having completed her Bachelor of Education, achieving a Distinction average. She has extensive experience teaching online and is currently working as a Casual Relief Teacher. She is eager to assist her students to accept themselves for who they are and embrace the differences of others. Sally is a qualified Teacher, holding her Graduate Diploma of Teaching (Primary). She also holds her Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) Certificate. As part of her university studies she completed 3 placements across Years 2, 4 and 5. She has experience as an ESL Teacher overseas as well as English tutoring. She has worked as a Casual Children's Services Employee in Outside of School Hours Care and has been working as a Primary Teacher since 2017. She has also worked with students with diverse learning needs included academically outstanding students. Sally is a motivated Tutor who is friendly and approachable.

Liesl has taught as a classroom teacher for over 6 years across Victoria and the Northern Territory. Whilst teaching, she ran a reading intervention group after school for students in the school with English as a second language. Liesl has also tutored students who were struggling with reading, and has had a lot of experience teaching students with English as an Additional Language, ADHD, Autism, Down-Syndrome and Global Development Delay. She currently tutors Primary English and Maths, as well as NAPLAN.
