Year 2 English
In Year 2, students are developing their reading skills and using a range of strategies to recognise and decode words. They are learning to understand the range of purposes and audiences for spoken and written language and also learning to create their own texts for specific purposes and audiences. They are also learning to reflect on and assess their own writing and that of others.

Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.

Cluey's Primary English learning programs are based on the Australian National Curriculum for K-6 and focus on core literacy skills, including reading and writing techniques in the early years, and grammar and punctuation in the senior years. Chrystal has been teaching English both locally and internationally (China, Taiwan, Japan, Italy) for the past 5 years and completed a BA, majoring in Communication Studies at the University of Wollongong, as well as her TESOL and Classroom Communication and Public Speaking certification. She enjoys teaching a variety of age groups (pre-schoolers to adults) at a variety of levels (beginner - advanced) using effective, interactive and fun methods.
Alexander
English: Primary, Secondary & Senior
Alexander is currently completing his PhD in Literary and Cultural Studies at Monash University. Between 2009 to 2011, and again between 2014 to 2015, he worked as an EL (English as a Second Language) Teacher. Alexander is an enthusiastic Tutor who sees potential in everyone and works with his students to ensure their learning goals are acknowledged and achieved. Alexander uses positive encouragement and a personalised approach to get the most out of his sessions.

Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
