Year 3 English
Students learn about complex language features, varied sentence structures and expand their vocabulary. Over the year they also learn a significant number of new high-frequency sight words and words that need to be decoded phonically, and a range of punctuation conventions, as well as an understanding of how literary devices, illustrations and diagrams make meaning in printed text. They create a range of written texts of their own for various purposes and audiences.

Sonia offers her students of diverse nationalities, age groups and learning styles a wealth of knowledge regarding writing, reading, grammar, vocabulary development, speaking and listening. In addition, she has worked in a range of educational settings with individuals, small groups and large classes both online and in person. Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
