Meet Dr Selina Samuels
Dr Samuels and her Education team developed Cluey's unique CENTRE approach, and have created interactive learning programs that map to the curriculum and allow students to work at their own level and pace.
English Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Dimpal completed her Western Australian Certificate of Education in 2018, achieving an ATAR of 94.75, going on to commence her Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) at Curtin University. She has been tutoring High School students in years 7-12 in English and years 11 and 12 in Human Biology and NAPLAN, both online and face to face. Dimpal is passionate about the wellbeing and education of young people. She brings empathy and caring to her students and strives to incorporate a positive outlook to everything she does.

Candy is a qualified Teacher, holding her Master of Teaching (Secondary). She worked as a Casual Relief Teacher in 2016 and has been working as an English Teacher since 2017. Candy is passionate about creating and delivering engaging and purposeful curriculum materials that truly allow students to feel academically fulfilled. Her goal is to have a widespread impact on young people by giving them the skillset needed to use the English language as a tool of empowerment.

Xuan completed her International Baccalaureate Diploma in 2019, with a score equivalent to an ATAR of 99.70, then commenced her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Adelaide in 2019. Xuan has 2 years' experience as a volunteer private Tutor in Sciences, Mathematics, English, and Economics with international students ranging from ages 14-19. She also mentored first year Medical students in 2020. Xuan has a cheerful and pleasant manner and is passionate about helping students of all year levels to develop their confidence, interest, and abilities in their studies.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?

During the session
