VIC Teacher
English: Secondary & Senior
Deborah is a qualified Teacher, holding her Graduate Diplomas of Education from Monash University. She has also completed her Bachelor of Arts with majors in Professional Writing and Communication. She has taught English and Media for 20 years and her key experience including 2 years as Head of Pedagogy (Leading Teacher) and Learning and Teaching Co-Ordinator (Leading Teacher). Her experience includes teaching gifted/talented classes and programs, and she has vast experience in being able to extend students, regardless of their starting point. Deborah is a passionate Teacher who loves to teach and connect with her students and enjoys seeing them gain confidence in their abilities to learn and develop skills.
Rose Anne
VIC Teacher

Rose is a qualified Teacher with 5 years of teaching experience. She completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in International Studies/English in 2010 at Monash University and her Graduate Diploma of Education and Graduate Certificate of Religious Education (Secondary) in 2016 at the Australian Catholic University. Rose has also taught children with a variety of learning needs. She is passionate about helping students develop their oral and written communication skills for life-long use, as they work towards acquiring educational independence. Rose believes in fostering a positive and encouraging learning environment and feels with the right support, students can reach their potential.

VIC University Student (Bachelor of arts)

Jason completed his Bachelor of Arts (History/Literary Studies) in 2020 at Deakin University. He has 3 years of tutoring experience, tutoring fellow university students during his time at university in History and Literature. In 2011 he also taught English in Cambodia. Jason works hard to build positive and productive relationships with his students, so they feel safe and motivated to try their best.

Based on the state and national curricula for Years 11 and 12, Cluey’s approach to senior Maths focuses on advanced topics, such as calculus and statistical analysis, and is intended to prepare you for Maths at a tertiary level. Chathranee
VIC University Student (PhD (Mathematics))
Mathematics: Senior
Chathranee holds a Bachelor of Science, with Honours in Mathematics and is currently studying her PhD in Mathematics. She has been working as a Tutor in the School of Mathematics and Statistics, Faculty of Science at the University of Melbourne since 2017. Chathranee is confident in teaching Mathematics in a clear, concise and fun way. She is able to adjust her teaching style to match each student's learning style, knowing how to approach a problem from multiple angles. Ian is a retired Chemistry Teacher with 40 years of teaching experience, with a focus on the South Australian Certificate of Education years 11 and 12 Chemistry. He has tutored with the Adelaide Education Group during school holidays and has written content material for all South Australian senior Chemistry courses. He brings confidence and a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.
Session breakdown
First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
- Work through any challenges
- Students are encouraged to explain their thinking to clarify their comprehension
