English Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Callum has worked in Primary schools delivering Physical Education workshops and currently works delivering quality vision impaired sports experiences to schools. He has History tutoring experience with Years 7-12. Callum is a strong communicator who can assist students with preparation to navigate through the complexities of assessments and exams to optimise results. Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

Denise is a qualified, accredited Teacher with over 30 years' experience in the Education sector. She has experience in mainstream classrooms as well as being Head of Special Education (Enrichment and Learning Support). She has experience as a casual Tutor and a Casual Relief Teacher teaching Secondary Mathematics and English. She holds a Diploma of Education (Economics and Social Sciences) and a Bachelor of Special Education (Postgraduate). Denise has a strong focus on the ongoing understanding, reasoning, development and improvement of Primary and Secondary school students.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
