English Tutoring Program Based on the National Curriculum
Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary English focuses on developing students' literacy skills with in-depth studies of Shakespeare and essay structure in the early years, and deeper analysis of different texts and topics in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

NSW Teacher
English: Primary & Secondary
Tara is a qualified Teacher, holding her Master of Teaching. She worked as a Casual Relief Teacher between 2015 and 2017 and as a Classroom Teacher between 2018 and 2019. She is currently working as a casual teacher across various schools. Tara's vision is to focus on providing a safe and positive learning environment that is engaging and inspires students of all learning levels and abilities to learn and engage with their education.

Con completed his Year 12 Certificate with an ATAR of 97.60 and is currently studying a Bachelor/Masters Double Degree in Arts at Monash University. Con has been a tutor at the Scotch College Drama Department for two years, and is currently teaching music at The Music Industry on the Mornington Peninsula. He is passionate about sharing his enthusiasm with his students and making a positive impact in their lives and inspiring them to become life-long learners.
Kirsten

Kirsten has completed a Bachelor of Arts majoring in English and History and is now undertaking her Master of Secondary Teaching in English and History. She is interested in teaching students with a variety of learning needs and instilling an enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Kirsten has experience tutoring students with a range of needs and enjoys getting to know her students and the ways they learn. When Kirsten is not studying to become a high school English teacher she is reading and reviewing novels on her "bookstagram" account. Through teaching English, Kirsten hopes to foster a similar love of reading within her students.

Based on the Australian National Curriculum for Years 7-10, Cluey’s approach to secondary Maths focuses on developing students’ numeracy skills with algebraic techniques and properties of geometrical figures in Years 7 and 8, and functions, indices and data analysis in Years 9 and 10. Our personalised approach gives you the opportunity to focus on areas you find challenging and maximise your understanding of each topic.

He has History tutoring experience with Years 7-12. Callum is a strong communicator who can assist students with preparation to navigate through the complexities of assessments and exams to optimise results. His strengths lie in helping students prioritise important work/content and provides tips from his own experience as a student to ensure they can achieve their goals.

Blake completed his Higher School Certificate in 2019, achieving an ATAR of 94.85. In 2020 he began his Bachelor of Engineering at the Australian National University. Blake believes in combining his passion and expertise in Mathematics to solidify strong foundational understandings that nurtures confidence within students.

Weekly learning through live tutoring sessions, feedback & practice
Each student’s individual learning journey is supported through a series of live face-to-face sessions with an expert tutor matched to the student's needs. We cover all the theory and examples needed to ensure comprehension, and our sessions are designed to be engaging and encouraging.
Our expert tutors offer guidance through demonstration and worked examples and assign targeted practice questions to help students master the topics and concepts covered.
After each session, personalised feedback is provided to help students and parents track their progress.

First 5 Minutes
Establishing the session theme, why are we here?
- Discuss student’s areas of focus (if first session)
- Review previous session's assigned practice (if subsequent session)
- Set session learning goals
45 Minutes
During the session
- Work through exercises based on the topics and concepts for each learning goal
- Tutor demonstrates, guides and explains concepts
